Victoire de Margerie, Founder and CEO of Marzac Investment, as well as Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Managment, is a member of the International Academic Advisory Council of the Dutch Biotech Cluster (http://www.lifescienceshealth.com) since its creation in 2010.
Chaired by Prof. Fred von Eenennaam, the council welcomes 4 other professor members from various prestigious academic institutions: Christian Ketels (Harvard Business School), Goran Lindqvist (Stockholm School of Economics), Leonard Friedman (George Washington University) and Robert Burke (George Washington University).
The council had its first full session in Leiden on June 9th to review the 2011 Dutch Life Sciences Outlook, meet with various cluster members and discuss thoughts for possible improvements and further internationalization.
Fred van Eenennaam states: "The Dutch Life Sciences Outlook is a yearly report on the economic performance and progress of the Dutch biotech cluster compared to international top biotech clusters in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and the USA (for additional information contact project leader at r.vanleeuwen@thedecisiongroup.nl). We want to use the various fields of expertise of our international academic advisory council members in order to continuously improve the quality of our publications".
Victoire de Margerie states: " We were all impressed by the quality of the relationships developed between cluster members, consulting firms - such as the Decision Group, start ups - such as Prosensa as well as major groups - such as Philips Medical Systems. The data base compiled by the cluster is of high quality and we will now work together in order to allow performance monitoring through simple and reliable indicators".
